Designed to remove and install the bearing races literally in minutes on aluminum and steel hubs utilizing bearing specific adapters.
The design of the split ring clamp allows the tool to grip virtually the entire diameter of the race.
Please Note: The 10908 Kit requires the Wheel be removed from the Hub before removing the Bearing Race. The 2 Hydraulic Kits, the 10909 and 10910 do not require the Wheel to be removed from the Hub. Both Kits are capable of removing the Bearing Race once wheel with Hub are removed from the truck with no further breakdown.
10908 Bearing Race Starter Kit (No Adapters or Cylinder - Core Kit Only)
Bearing races can now be removed and installed precisely in minutes on a stripped-down hub utilizing bearing specific adapters and a shop press.
The split ring is forced to expand over the wedge, increasing the diameter of the split ring until the ring clamps onto the bearing race. Split rings are made from high-grade steel.
The shop press applies force to the split ring/wedge assembly, pressing the bearing race out with ease. The 10908 Bearing Race kit provides a safe and easy method for servicing bearing races. No more time-consuming, cumbersome and dangerous traditional welding, hammering and punching methods are needed. No more injury to technicians.
If you prefer to service bearing races while the wheels remain on the hub, choose kit 10909
Application
- Eliminates injuries due to hammering, punching and welding methods
- Manufactured from high-grade steel for strength and durability
- Interchangeable adapters for maximum flexibility
- Note: Requires a 20 ton shop press and at least one Adapter Kit to operate
Bearing Race Starter Kit 10908 (2.35 Min)
Tiger Tool Bearing Race Starter Kit 10908 (.59 Sec)
10909 Hydraulic Bearing Race Starter Kit (Includes Cylinder)
Bearing races can now be removed and installed precisely in minutes while the wheels remain on the hub. The 10909 is a hydraulically powered kit that horizontally services bearing races when used together with bearing specific adapters.
Removing and reinstalling the wheels from the Hubs can be time consuming for technicians and add cost to their customers. Lug nuts require re-torquing after the first 50 to 100 miles of service, putting the truck back in the shop and adding more cost for the customer. Leaving the wheel mounted to the hub is the only professional way to go. Time and money are saved and it improves the lifespan of the wheel studs by not unnecessarily retorquing them.
If you prefer to service bearing races on a stripped-down hub, choose kit 10908. If you already own a Tiger Tool kit that came with a 17202 hydraulic cylinder, choose kit 10910.
Application
- Eliminates injuries due to hammering, punching and welding methods
- Manufactured from high-grade steel for strength and durability
- Includes 17202 Hydraulic Cylinder with 20 Tons of pulling power
- Includes an aluminum ring to mitigate the risk of damage to ABS ring located on the inboard side of the hub
- Available Interchangeable adapters for maximum flexibility
- Note: Requires a 10,000 psi pump and at least one adapter kit to operate.
Hydraulic Bearing Race Starter Kit 10909 (1.54 Min)
